Leyton FFA Holds Member Auction

Leyton High School’s FFA Chapter is preparing for one of its biggest nights of the year, the fund raising FFA Member Auction.

On Monday, Dec. 3, FFA members will host and provide a meal to community members and supporters beginning at 6 p.m. During the meal, until 7:15, a silent auction will also take place as part of the chapter’s fund raising effort.

But the action will kick into high gear at 7:30, when members go across the “auction block” as the main part of the evening’s fund raiser gets underway.

The meal is free to those attending, but supporters are urged to bring their checkbooks to help support the chapter through the auctions.

Leyton students involved in FFA are part of a growing Association that has a current membership of more than 8,000 members in 184 chapters. Nebraska FFA members are enrolled in agricultural education courses, conduct a Supervised Agricultural Experience Program and can participate in a variety of FFA competitions and activities.
