The family of Herman Ben and Delores Ruby Jurgens has decided to bring our parents cremains home to their final resting place in Greenwood Cemetery in Sidney NE. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday October 26th in the Greenwood Cemetery with Pastor Dave Hall officiating. Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Thursday from 1-7:00 P.M. to sign the register book and leave condolences for the family. Gehrig-Stitt Chapel & Cremation Service, LLC is in charge of Herman and Delores' care and funeral arrangements.
Herman was born June, 2, 1923 in Sidney, NE and passed July 26, 2014 in Branson MO. His wife of 69 years, Delores, was born in Kearney, NE February 19, 1928 and passed in Yuma, AZ August 8, 2017. Herman and Delores took over the family farm on the North Sidney table upon their marriage on December 7, 1944 and retired to a ranch in the Missouri Ozarks after their family was raised and gone.
They are survived by their sons Richard D. Jurgens and wife Patricia, J. Ben Jurgens and wife Penny and numerous grand and great- grandchildren.
They were preceded in death by a daughter Judy Lynn, their parents, and all their siblings. They will be laid to rest in the family plot beside Ben C. Jurgens and his wife Annette and Herman's brother Jerry B. Jurgens as per the wishes of our patriarch Ben C. Jurgens. Family and friends are invited to attend the grave side service.
