Human sex trafficking has been a growing problem in today's world. Hardly a day goes by without seeing a news report or social media post telling of a new scheme by the crime's perpetrators to lure people away.
In a recent survey, Sidney, as a population center in I-80, was identified as a hot spot for human sex trafficking within Nebraska.
Tonight, Sidney's Fox Theatre, working with the Cheyenne County Sheriff's Office, City of Sidney Police Department and CASA, will present a program and information on Human Sex Trafficking.
"I am Jane Doe," is a movie about trafficking, and the other agencies will be on hand with additional information and to answer questions.
Admission to the event is free to the public. October 10, Doors open at 6 p.m. and the movie starts at 7 p.m.
