Sidney’s Lady Raider golf team placed 7th and Creek Valley’s Lady Storm placed 15th out of 18 teams at the Ogallala Invitational at West Wind Golf Course on Tuesday. Sidney senior Tara Ginther led the Lady Raiders by shooting a 90, which earned her a top-ten individual finish. Creek Valley’s Carissa Fostervold led the Lady Storm golfers with a round of 124 for the day.
The North Platte team took top honors with a combined round of 351, followed by Gering and Scottsbluff to round out the top three finishers. For Sidney, Ginther’s round of 90 was followed by Janay Brauer’s round of 100, then Amanda Beier’s score of 104, and Ashlee Ringleman’s round of 110 for a final team score of 404.
For the Lady Storm, Fostervold’s 124 finish was followed by Ashleigh Jay with a round of 137, then Jordan Bocock’s score of 138, and Ally Jay’s round of 152. The team combined for a final score of 551.
