Walk to Fight Suicide Set For Sept. 16

Suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in Nebraska, according to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP).

The organization’s figures, based on 2016 data from the Centers for Disease Control, indicates four times as many people die in Nebraska by suicide than by homicide. Suicide is reported as the second leading cause of death for people between the ages of 15 and 34, fourth leading cause of death for people ages 35 to 54, 8th leading cause of death for people ages 65 and older.
