The Cheyenne County Fair continues tonight and Saturday.
Highlights of the weekend include tonight's concert with the McKenzie JaLynn Band opening for Rodney Atkins. The McKenzie JaLynn Band takes the stage at 6 p.m. with Rodney Atkins scheduled to start at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 per person.
A fireworks show will follow the concert.
The McKenzie JaLynn Band received three Nashville Universe nominations including Rising Star, Female Vocalist of the Year, and Vocal Group of the Year. They also received three Josie Music Award Nominations including Female Artist of the Year, Song of the Year (Danglin') and Album of the Year (Don't Miss Me).
Rodney Atkins is credited with more than two decades recording country music, six No. 1 hits, four studio LPs and more than 10 million units sold. He is known for songs including "Farmer's Daughter," "My Old Man," and "It's America."
Saturday includes the 4-H Livestock sale starting at 9 a.m., followed by the 4-H Appreciation Lunch at noon in the 4-H Building. Horseshoe Pitching takes place beginning at 1 p.m. at Legion Park. The Power Wheels Derby check-in is 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., and the Demolition Derby is 5 p.m. Saturday.
