Oshkosh Eastern Star Chapter 264 members Mert and Janet Zoucha, Joanna Kepler and Kristy Nerud traveled to Sidney recently to present Marian Hiett with her 70-year membership certificate.
Hiett, 96 years young, joined Eastern Star on April 28, 1948 in Sidney. She affiliated with Oshkosh Chapter 264 in April 2011 after the Sidney chapter closed. She is one of the few members that have held the office of all Five Star Points.
The chapter reports it was a memorable moment for Hiett. Her family and Eastern Star member Paula Gudahl from Sidney, were there to help her celebrate. All enjoyed chatting with Hiett and hearing about her Eastern Star memories.
