Downtown Sounds Begins Tonight

Downtown Sounds is going into its third summer with a concert by In The Groove Duo, billing itself as “the duo that sounds like a full band.”

The duo has a eclectic play list, from Tom Petty, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and Marvin Gaye, to the likes of Charlie Daniels and Brooks and Dunn.

The Downtown Sounds series, sponsored by Viaero, has been bringing small groups to enthusiastic crowds in Hickory Square. Audiences have watched, danced and visted with each other during previous sessions.

At tonight’s concert, which begins at 6:30 p.m., Leadership Cheyenne County will have meal deals available as a fund raising project. The group will also be selling desserts.

For those wanting lighter fare, Night of Hope will be selling other snacks as part of its fund raising.

There will also be adult beverages available.

There will be some picnic tables available, and attendees are also encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs if they would like.
