Serving proudly since 1873 as the beautiful Nebraska Panhandle's first newspaper
The Nebraska Oil and Gas Commission office at 922 Illinois St., Sidney, is hosting the Association of Nebraska Art Clubs(ANAC) Traveling Art Show. The exhibit will be on display and available for viewing weekdays through June 5. Highlights of the show include artwork selected for Awards of Excellence at the 2017 ANAC Convention in York, Neb. Typically, 24 are chosen from about 300 entries by a non-member regional artist. Included in the display is a painting by Ron Nordyke, a Cheyenne Art Guild member of Chappell, and recipient of the Nebraska Art Award. The Association of Nebraska Art Clubs, Inc., was created in 1965. The organization holds an annual convention in locations across Nebraska in the early summer. The convention provides an opportunity for Nebraska artists to network and take part in workshops during the four-day event.
