Smith Encourages Students to Apply for Youth Advisory Council

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Adrian Smith (R-NE) encourages rising high school juniors and seniors to apply for the 2018-2019 Third District Youth Advisory Council by June 29.

The Third District Youth Advisory Council is a forum for juniors and seniors to share opinions, thoughts, and concerns with Congressman Smith through in-person meetings, online forums, and conference calls.

“I always enjoy meeting with students through the Student Advisory Council because it provides the opportunity to hear the concerns of young Nebraskans,” Smith said. “These young people are tomorrow’s leaders and we must emphasize the importance of civic awareness and engagement.”
