Peetz’s boy’s and girl’s track teams competed at the Wray Srsen-Tena Invitational meet on Saturday at Wray High School.
The boy’s team finished fifth out of eight teams, while the girl’s squad finished seventh out of 10 teams.
For the boys, the 4x100 meter relay team took first place with a time 47.94 while the 4x200 relay team finished second with a time of 1:39.11 and the 4x400 meter relay team also placed second with a time of 3:51.01.
Although no boys won any individual event outright, there were some outstanding performances by the team, including Peetz senior Helmuth Wenneker placing second in the 200 meters, and junior Bryson Long placing third in the Triple Jump.
For the girls, senior Abby White had an outstanding day, winning the 3200 meters and placing second in the 1600 meters.
