Linda J. Morse - Obituary

Linda J. Morse, age 70 of Sidney, NE passed away Sunday morning, February 18, 2018 in Loveland, CO.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, February 26th with Rosary Services at 9:30 Monday prior to Mass. Both services will be in the St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Father Mike McDermott and Father Gary Brethour officiating. Inurnment will follow Mass in the Greenwood Cemetery. Cremation has been held. Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel to sign Linda's register book and leave condolences for the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in care of the family for future designation. Linda Jean Morse, the daughter of Gail Arthur and Regina Lucille (Messing) Jarred, was born on February 1, 1948 at Sidney. She attended St. Patrick's Catholic Schools and graduated from St. Pat's High School. Linda was united in marriage to Rod Swendener. One son, Rodney was born to this union. They lived in the Clay Center area. She later married Robert Morse and lived on a farm near Redington on the Schuler Ranch. Linda worked at the Bell Restaurant, Sonny's Super Foods and was a dispatcher for the Sheriff's Department in Bridgeport. In 1977 she moved to Sidney and was employed at Cabela's for sixteen years in the camping department. Linda loved meeting new people and enjoyed the many return customers from previous visits.

Survivors include her son: Rodney of Oregon; (2) sisters: Carol Pope of Dallas, TX and Jan Farmer of Dalton; (2) brothers: Duane Jarred of Sterling, CO and Jim Jarred and wife Peggy of Idaho and special friends: Norma Michelman and Linda Brown.

Linda was preceded in death by: her parents, (1) sister: Debra Elsen and (1) grandson.
