Peetz’s Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs faced Fleming on Tuesday Feb. 13 for an away conference matchup that had the boys team winning by a score of 63-51.

Peetz junior Bryson Long led the scoring for the Bulldogs with 24 points. The Lady Bulldogs were defeated by the Lady Wildcats in their game by a score of 61-17.

Senior Abby White led the scoring for Peetz with nine points in the game.

On Friday Feb. 16, Peetz’s teams faced Weldon Valley for a home conference matchup that had the Lady Bulldogs losing to the Lady Warriors by a score of 48-26. Freshman LaKrisha Fehringer led the scoring for the Lady Bulldogs with seven points in the game.

In the boys game, the Bulldogs defeated the Warriors by a score of 92-32, putting up 30 points in the first quarter against Weldon Valley’s three. Peetz senior Tre Fehringer led the scoring with 20 points in the game.

The Peetz Bulldogs are next scheduled to play the Pawnee Coyotes in the first round of the Colorado 1A District basketball tournament at Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, CO., while the Lady Bulldogs were scheduled for a “Play-In” game at the tournament on Monday.

On Friday Feb. 16, the Creek Valley Storm boys basketball team lost a home non-conference game against the Wallace Wildcats by a score of 49-34. Creek Valley junior Tanner Crass led the scoring for the Storm with 11 points on the night.

Creek Valley was scheduled to face Potter-Dix on Tuesday in the first round of the boy’s D2-12 Subdistrict tournament at Sidney High School.

Leyton’s Warriors were defeated Friday Feb. 16 by the Garden County Eagles in an away conference matchup by a final score of 68-31. Leyton sophomore Drew Haley led the scoring with 17 points on the night.

Leyton was scheduled to face Minatare on Tuesday in the first round of the boy’s D2-12 Subdistrict tournament at Sidney High School.
