Leadership Cheyenne County

Members of this year's Leadership Cheyenne County class put the final touches on a community project Friday, placing commemorative plaques at two city transportation covered bus stops, purchased and built through the group's efforts. The class solicited funds and built two shelters along the city's Stage Line bus route, one at 10th and King by the courthouse, the other near the office at Sioux Villa. Class members included Natalie Jobman of the leadership committee, Heather Hausmann, Andrew Sherman, Megan Spike, Josh Olson, Matt Benzel, Clint Norman and Chamber of Commerce Director Denise Wilkinson. Members not present for the ceremony were Amy Burton, Niki Rochlitz and Kortney Allington. The plaque thanks donors for their contributions to the shelter, and recognizes corporate sponsors, the Cheyenne County Visitors Committee, City of Sidney Public Transportation, Great Western Bank, Scoular Company, Security First Bank, Croell Inc., Palmer Sales and Service, and Wieser Construction Co.
