Deborah "Deb" Katherine Dana, age 64 of Sunol, NE passed away peacefully at Sidney Regional Medical Center, Saturday, December 30, 2017 in Sidney.
Funeral Mass Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Thursday, January 4th with Wake Services at 6:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 3rd. Both services will be in the St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Father Mike McDermott officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Wednesday from 1-4:00 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the family for future designation. Deborah was born as a triplet, to Leonard and Donna Mae (Messing) Soucie on June 29, 1953 in Hastings, NE. She lived in Doniphan, NE until 1962 when the family moved to Lodgepole, NE. Deborah graduated from Lodgepole High School in 1972. On February 16, 1974 she married the love of her life John Ray Dana at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Sidney, NE. They started their married life in Fairfield, NE where they lived for nine years before making their present home in the Lodgepole area where they raised their four children. Throughout her life she worked many different places including; The Coffee Cup, GP Express Airlines, The Elks Club and Convertaball. She found her true calling in 1998 when she received her cosmetology degree and became the owner of the Honeycomb Salon in Sidney.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years John, three sons and one daughter; son: Adam (Tanya) and sons Isaac, Samuel and Benjamin of Dorchester, NE, daughter: Jamie (Bryan) North and children Joslyn, Adrienne, Tanner and Clayton of Holbrook, NE, sons: Aaron (Sara) and children William and Abagail of Sunol, NE and Eric (fiance' Hilary Buoy) of Lodgepole, NE, father: Leonard Soucie of Sidney, brothers: Dennis (Libby) of Sidney, Douglas (Marietta) of Juniata, NE, triplet brothers: Delmar (Marilyn) of Sterling, CO and Donald (Coreen) of Lodgepole, sister: Diane (Dwight) Mitchell of Hastings, NE and youngest brother Dean of Sunol, NE; and numerous nieces and nephews and numerous extended family. Deborah is preceded in death by her mother: Donna Mae, nephew: Jeff Soucie, father in law: Lloyd Dana, and grandparents.
