How closely will judges look at Christmas decorations? We just hope they won't be Grinches when it comes to appreciation of local lights.
All local residents need to do to participate in a Christmas lighting contest is turn their lights on.
The Cheyenne County Visitors Committee is once again sponsoring a home lighting contest, which will give awards to what are deemed the best in town.
During the evenings of Dec. 7 and 8, judges will drive the streets of Sidney to see how homeowners decorate their property.
Four winners will be chosen. A $100 prize will be awarded for first, $75 for second, and $50 for third. A Griswold Award winner will also be chosen for a $100 award.
