Several Sidney athletes were recognized as Western Conference All-Conference 2017-2018 athletes.
In volleyball, Mattie Johnson, Payton Jung, and Natalie Radcliffe are all-conference with Katelyn Sylvester and Julia Evertson honorable mention. Johnson finished the season playing 86 sets, creted with 298 kills from 704 attempts, served 46 aces, credited with 86 total blocks, and 377 digs. Jung played in 85 sets, had 282 kills from 686 attempts, 33 ace serves, 33 total blocks and 262 digs. Radcliffe played in 83 sets, had 111 kills from 329 attempts, 37 serve aces, 29 total blocks and 298 digs. Katelyn Sylvester played in 85 sets, had 64 kills from 231 attempts, 41 ace serves, 15 blocks and 291 digs. Julia Evertson played in 78 sets, recorded 121 kills of 339 attempts, eight aces, 25 total blocks and 179 digs.
In football, Derek Robb, Jonathon Smith, Zach Pettit and Coby Haas are all-conference with Arik Doty, Rhan Onstott, Kade Price and Grant Hausmann honorable mention. Robb played in nine games, rushed 165 times for 1,148 yards averaging 127.6 yards per game, made three receptions for negative eight yards, 57 tackles, four kickoff returns and 15 touchdowns. Jonathon Smith played in nine games, carried the ball 15 times for 33 yards, had 26 receptions for 375 yards, 10 kickoffs averaging 45.6 yards, and 35 tackles in 2017.
