Central Elementary School kindergartners test-drove new chairs and books at the school library recently. The new chairs and books were purchased with proceeds from two community efforts supporting the school. On Oct. 11, Dairy Queen supported the school by donating proceeds from the sales between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. to the school. Crossroads Cooperative Association then then offered to support the school in connection with International School Library Month. Crossroads Cooperative donated $1 for each Like they received on their Facebook page through Oct. 31. The combined effort of the Crossroads Cooperative and Dairy Queen netted the school about $825. Pictured with the students are Mollie Packer of Dairy Queen and Mindy Wiegand of Crossroads.
