A Potter teen escaped injury when the vehicle he was driving went off the road Wednesday, Oct. 11
Joshua Hutchinson, 16, of Potter, was driving a 1996 Ford Explorer north on Cheyenne County Road 83 when it went off the road and entered a west ditch at about 5:10 p.m. The front right corner of the Explorer collided with three trees, resulting in damage to the trees and to the vehicle. The accident occurred near Cheyenne County Road 34 three miles east and two miles north of Potter. According to the accident report, neighter alcohol nor drugs are suspected in the accident. Cost of the damage to the trees is estimated at $300. The Explorer was towed by Affordable Towing to Scooter’s Auto Repair.

A 2009 Chevrolet sedan was totaled when it was driven by a 15-year-old Dalton boy and it went out of control bout one mile north and four miles east of Dalton at about 4:15 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12. The vehicle was driven southbound on Cheyenne County Road 119 when the car slid off the left side of the road and rolled four to five times. The car then drove in several circles in the field before coming to rest. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and did not have a driver’s license, according to the accident report. The accident occurred about one mile north and four miles east of Dalton at about 4:15 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12.
