The Sidney Raiders swept the tri volleyball tournament held in Sidney Tuesday, Sept. 12, defeating Chadron and Bridgeport High Schools.
The Red Raiders went three games to defeat Chadron: 21-25, 25-22, and 25-17.
As a team, the Raiders had 37 kills with 120 attempts averaging 12.3 kills per set. Junior Payton Jung had a kill percent of 36.6, followed closely by senior Julia Evertson 36.4 percent, senior Natalie Radcliffe with 33.3 percent and sophomore Mattie Johnson with 32.4 percent.
Serving was lead by Radcliffe with 16.7 percent aces, followed by junior Katelyn Sylvester with 15.4 percent of serves aces.
The Red Raiders then defeated Bridgeport's Bulldogs in two straight games: 27-25 and 25-20.
Sidney returned to their home court Thursday to host the Alliance Bulldogs. Alliance entered the contest with a 2-0 record and Sidney with a 5-3 record.
