Everett L. Kneer

Everett "Ev" Lee Knerr, 61 of Chappell, NE passed away at home Friday August 25, 2017. Services will be held at 10:30am Wednesday August 30, 2017 at the United Methodist Church in Chappell, NE with David Abbott officiating. There will be no visitation as cremation has already taken place. Gehrig-Stitt Chapel & Cremation Service, LLC is in charge of Everett's care and funeral arrangements. Everett was born March 23, 1956 to Lowell and Lillian (Beam) Knerr in Chappell, NE. He attended and graduated from Chappell Public Schools and very proud of the opportunity to be an exchange student in Germany and Switzerland. When Everett was younger he did seismologist work which allowed him to travel the United States which was a love he had. Most recently he worked for Pennington seed for 18 years and retired in May of 2015. Everett loved to spend time with his close family members making as many memories as possible. In 2006 Everett met Betty. He loved her with all of his heart and was elated he had a love to go on adventures with. He accepted everything Betty brought into his life especially all the grandchildren. He loved walking in the "Enchanted Forest" with the kids, and the scavengers they would come across. He was so proud of all the accomplishments they have done and was always there in all celebrations. Everett will be remembered for the dedication of his family heritage and persistent contribution to the Kowanda Church, his passion for motorcycles, music, canoeing, spending time with family & friends. He loved the great community and surrounding communities he called Home. Everett had a heart of gold and loved all who entered his life.

Survivors include his fiance Betty Glassburn of Chappell, step-children Gloria & husband Daniel Way of Lead, SD; Tiffani & husband Shawn Jallen; Crystal & husband David Strnad all of Sidney; Matthew Sebold of Wellington, CO; Sister Naomi Bruns & soul mate Carroll Gerber of Chappell; Sister in-law Dee Knerr of Florida; 11 Granchchildren; 4 Great Grandchildren and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces. Everett is preceded in death by his parents Lowell and Lillian (Beam) Knerr; Grandparent Elmer and Mable Knerr & Cecil and Percy Beam; two brothers Larry and Kenneth; one step son Thadeus Didier and one grandson Mark Swanson Jr.
