Colorado man, woman arrested on drug charges

An Akron, Co., man and woman are under arrest on drug charges following the search of a hotel room Aug. 18.

On Aug. 17, Sidney Police Officer Aaron Rucker was dispatched to the Comfort Inn regarding a hotel room that contained suspected drug paraphernalia found by the housekeeping staff. Upon arrivalofficers met with housekeeping employees

Housekeeping staff escorted officers to the guest room, announcing thenselves before entering the room. Officers reported seeing normal clothing and bathroom items, and food in the refridgerator. Officers also saw the open draw of the night stand and the reported marijuana containers. Sgt. Borgmann then asked if the room was occupied. Housekeepers confirmed the room was rented with checkout due for Aug. 19.
