Boy Scout Owen Kurz approached Sidney City Council Tuesday about rehabilitating Camp Fuller for an eagle scout project. The council awarded Kurz an amount "not to exceed $750." Kurz will be joined by his fellow Troop 90 scouts.
Owen Kurz, Boy Scout Troop 90, approached the Sidney City Council Tuesday about repairing and rehabilitating Camp Fuller Boy Scout Camp.
The youth camp, named for land-owner Hubert R. Fuller, is located two miles west of Sidney.
"Camp Fuller was given in trust to the office of the mayor of the City of Sidney for the use and benefit of the Boy Scouts of America, Campfire Girls, and other character-building groups for the boys and girls of Sidney," Kurz said.
Kurz requested $500 in funds for the restoration effort.
