POTTER - Potter's third annual Car Bowl Saturday brought people from near and far to admire cars and enjoy a melodrama.
The event brought nearly 70 classic and antique vehicles to the day's car show, Loren Hoekema, event judge, said.
"We've got some really high-end cars here today," Hoekema said. "We've got some really nice stuff here."
Vehicles are judged on several criteria.
"We judge them on exterior quality, interior quality. Overall concept, like if it's a street rod, is it well put together, is the concept executed well," Hoekema said. "Cleanliness is a judging point. Mechanical quality. We look under the hood. We look at the suspension. We look underneath the cars. Look to see if the safety equipment is in place. All of those earn points, or detract from points."
