Come the first of the month, Chris Gabis will realize a long-time dream, that of becoming a full-time firefighter.
"I think every kids wants to be a firefighter at one time or another," Gabis said.
His dream was realized earlier this month when it was announced he was chosen as one of two new paid firemen to be accepted into the Scottsbluff Fire Department. It marks his first foray into the world of full time work as a fire fighter.
