Fairground buildings to get new locks

Over the past few weeks Cheyenne County Commissioners and Fair Board Members have been discussing security for the buildings located on the Cheyenne County fairgrounds.

In the most recent Commissioners meeting, concerns were voiced about the security of the fairground buildings.

According to Fair Board President Gerald Frerichs, buildings at the fairgrounds are found consistently unlocked after being left locked by fair board members.

Recently the pavilion building had fresh horse tracks left in the freshly prepped floor, indicating someone had used the building without proper permission.
