Sidney sports fans won't suffer from a lack of something to do over the Christmas vacation.
Although school won't be in session, Sidney's boys and girls basketball teams, as well as the Raider wrestlers, will be in action next week.
Sidney will host the Cabela's Holiday Basketball Shootout Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of next week, bringing seven teams from both Nebraska and Wyoming into the Cabela's Athletic Center for boys and girls action.
Tournament play begins Wednesday afternoon with a girls matchup between Gothenburg and Laramie, Wyo. and ends Friday at 3:15 p.m. with the boys' championship.
The Lady Raiders open play Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. against Torrington, Wyo.
Sidney's boys start play Wednesday at 7:15 p.m., also facing Torrington.
