Sidney's Derek Robb reached a big milestone Saturday at the Sidney/Bridgeport Invite, notching his 100 th career win with a quarterfinal win over Daniel Grube of Cheyenne (Wyo.) East.
Reaching the century mark is a special feat for wrestlers, the mark of exceptional practitioners of the craft. With the win, Robb became just the 10 th Sidney wrestler to l win more than 100 matches. By tournament's end, Robb pushed his total to 102 wins, all earned with first-period pins.
The quiet junior said he really didn't think a lot about the mark prior to the match, saying "I really take it one match at a time."
Rather than focusing on the records, Robb instead seeks constant improvement.
