Sidney’s City Council is looking for someone who wants to serve the city in the capacity of council member.
The question of an opening on the council has been a part of discussion since May, when no one filed to fill the seat of councilman Chris Gay, who chose not to remain on the council.
Two council seats were up for election in November, that of Gay, and councilman Joe Arterburn, who was re-elected.
To fill the opening, Mayor Mark Nienhueser has asked that anyone interested in serving on the council contact city hall to express their interest.
