Steven E. Beyer - Obituary

Steven E. Beyer, age 55 of Silverthorne, CO died on May 10, 2016 near Sandia Park, NM.

Graveside inurnment services will be at 3 p.m., Wednesday, November 23, 2016 in the Greenwood Cemetery in Sidney. Steven Edward Beyer was born on December 7, 1960 at the 2796 USAF Hospital at Norton AFB, San Bernardino, CA, to A/1C Gerald Edward Beyer and Nancy Florine (Bane) Beyer. Grandparents were Clarence and Lorine Beyer and Harold and Nellie Bretz of Sidney. He was baptized January 8, 1961, at Our Lady of Assumption Church in San Bernardino.

In April 1980, he received training in the United States Army at the United States Signal Center at Ft. Gordon, GA and then served in the Technical Division on the DMZ in Soul, South Korea where he served as a cryptographic equipment repairman in West Berlin, Germany. Steven was employed in Silverthorne, CO with AFLAC Insurance as an agent at the time of his death. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and snowmobiling in the mountains of Colorado.

Survivors include his mother: Nancy F. Bane and brother: Dean A Beyer both of Denver, CO; his sister: Julie Wylie and husband Patrick of Sandia Park, NM; two nieces: Jennifer Wylie of San Jose, CA and Alexis Wylie and husband Kalani Kaula of Boulder, CO; one nephew: Jesse Wylie, a midshipman at the U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD; aunts: Cheryl Wittrock of Sidney and Patricia Siffring of San Rosa, CA and numerous cousins and extended family members.

Steven was preceded in death by his father: Gerald Beyer, his grandparents: Clarence and Lorine Beyer and Harold and Nellie Bretz.
