Cross-county rivals Potter-Dix and Leyton met for the last time this year in volleyball action Tuesday, with the Lady Coyotes holding onto their dominance in the area to win the D2-11 sub-district.
Potter-Dix, which has lost only one match, its first, this season, faced a familiar foe in Leyton, which came out charging in an attempt to cage the Lady Coyotes.
The Lady Warriors fought valiantly, playing what both coaches said was their best match of the year, but succumbed in straight sets, 25-15-, 25-14, 25-15.
"We played well," said Leyton Coach Jodi Craig. "They just have more weapons. But we played our best game of the season."
