Bass Pro CEO, Johnny Morris made a trip to Sidney on Tuesday to talk with more than 250 employees at Cabela’s.
According to the Associated Press, Morris told Cabela’s employees he wouldn’t plant false hopes about their jobs after his company competes its purchase of Cabela’s. AP also reported Morris repeated that some operations will stay in Sidney, but there will be some “slimming down” because of function duplication and “important, significant jobs” will remain in Sidney. Bass Pro spokesman Jack Wiezien said, “we don’t have an exact forecast yet” for Sidney staffing.
