Raider golfers place second at Gering

Sidney’s girls golf team finished in third behind twin city rivals Scottsbluff and Gering this week at the Gering Invitational.

Scottsbluff continued its place at the top of the girls golf ranks, scoring a team 368 to take the team title. Gering nipped at Scottsbluff’s heals with a 372, followed by Sidney’s 391.

Emma Alexander led the Lady Raiders with matching front and back scores of 45 and a final tally of 90.

Tiara Ginther was second for Sidney with a 99, Jordan Cook scored a 100, followed by Paige Langley’s 102.

Sidney travels to Ogallala Monday for its next tournament.
