Kenneth Pebley was born on September 5, 1933 to Harry Lee and Agnes (Johnson) Pebley in Chappell, Nebraska. He attended country school until he was 14. He then attended Deuel County High School. Kenneth graduated in May of 1954. While in school he worked on farms and loved growing up with his brothers.

Shortly after graduation Kenneth entered the US Army and served 2 years at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal in Denver Colorado. This is where he met and married Betty Troutman in May of 1956. To this union his two children were born, Mitchell Lee and Dustin Ranele. They divorced in 1962. During this time he worked for the Vance Clark family farm and other farmers to provide his family for everything that they needed. On Memorial Day, May 31, 1964, he married the love of his life Donna Carlson and they made their home in Chappell Nebraska. He worked for the County road department and the Nebraska state road departments. During this employment, he took his vacations to help the family finances and harvest wheat for two weeks.

In 1967, Kenneth regained custody of his beloved children and raised them along with Donna. In the 1970s he bought his father in laws back-hoe business. He retired around 1998 from his back-hoe business but he continued his small engine repair until his eyesight began to make it impossible due to his progressing macular-degeneration. During his retirement he enjoyed his hobby of woodworking and making things for his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Kenneth will be remembered as a stern loving man that would do anything for anyone. He worked so hard all his life to support his family and taught his children to do the same. Even as he was dying he told Dustin to go to work because that is what she needed to do. His grandchildren and great grandchildren have many fond memories, the latest being the rides on his mule! He made many friends and had strong opinions but was loved by everyone.

He is survived by his loving children Mitch and Donna of Parker, CO and Dustin and Terry Brauer of Sidney NE; Grandchildren JD Pebley, Nichole (Pebley) Hornug, Casey and Celeste Brauer, Ashley (Brauer) and Matthew De Los Santos, Paige (Brauer) and Jeremy Lohman. He had many great grandchildren which he took pride in saying he had a baseball team and 1 cheerleader: Brayden and Madden Pebley, Peyton, David and Quinn Hornug, Collin, Cameron and Carissa Brauer, Uriah, Micah and Alijah De Los Santos, and Jeremy Jr and Damien Lohman,

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and his brother's, half brothers Richard and George Morr, James, and Marvin Pebley.
