North Elementary Fourth graders bare the cold and rain to plant their Fall Tub Gardens. Elementary students previously had fun hand painting garden tubs in hallway due to rain.
This year 102 fourth grade students at North Elementary have planted fall tub gardens. Various short season seeds were planted in tubs, which were hand painted by the students.
Students will work in teams to care for their plants throughout the year. Each student will use their Garden Science Journal to record their observations such as changes in their gardens, the care they gave their plant, and comparing their garden's growth with another tub garden. The journals will be completed on a weekly basis.
