Virginia V. Portenier, 81, formally from Sidney. April 13, 1935 – August 15, 2016. Passed away at her home in Cheyenne peacefully while sleeping.
True love is never determined on how long you have been with your significant other. It's a feeling when you know they're the one. Ronald and Virginia's love story began when they instantly fell in love, married within a week, and lasted for 53 years and 8 months. Together they raised nine children. They have 20 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. A loving mother, wife, friend with a passion for reading, camping, and fishing. Virginia is preceeded in death by two son's, Timothy and Bruce Portenier, and a daughter, Ronda Nadeau. Survived by husband, Ronald Portenier, children; Jay (Rhonda) Portenier, Kathy (Donald) Hickox, J.R Portenier, Mark (Jennifer) Portenier, Dirk Portenier, and Linda (Dan) House and grandchildren; Timothy, Travis, Tyler Portenier, Mandy Sandavol, Jessica Hurt, Josh, Jeremy Hickox, David, Dennis Portenier, Desireau Olson, Rebecca, Allison, Samantha Portenier, Glenn, Kristan Mercer, Jennifer, Justin Nadeau, Chris, Danielle House, and Reva Falen. She will be missed dearly by family and friends, especially her husband whom she dedicated herself through the good and the bad. She was a caring person who always thought of others before herself. We'll meet you again in heaven, where we never have to say goodbye.
