Accirding to information from its Website, the Night of Hope Foundation was established nearly a decade ago to benefit Sidney and Cheyenne County. Funds generated through the Night of Hope are used to support and uplift friends and neighbors battling cancer. The volunteer-driven organization is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of cancer patients and their families.
Tax-deductible contributions to the Foundation are put to good use through a variety of programs and services. Funding is used, in part, to provide vouchers for fuel, food and lodging if travel is required for treatment. Night of Hope contributes to an annual scholarship through the Western Nebraska Community College Foundation for students entering the field of medicine. In addition, the group makes an annual donation to the Eppley Cancer Center at the University of Nebraska Medical Center for continuing cancer research, which will lead to a cure.
