A milling crew was removing the asphalt surface from I-80 east of the Hwy. 30 exit on May 6 as part of road reconstruction. The milled asphalt is moved to the edge of the roadbed. The concrete subsurface is then removed and the milled asphalt is then pushed back into the roadbed as a base before concrete is poured for the finishing surface of the six-mile portion of the freeway under construction, according to a spokesman for Koss Construction Company from Topeka, Kan....
