GERING – The Sidney boys golf team placed third at the Gering Invite, held here on Thursday.
Nate Dvorak shot an 81 to lead the Raider finish. He opened with a 40 on the front nine, then shot 41 on the back side to finish in seventh place.
Cheyenne (Wyo.) Central captured the team title with 312 points, with all four scoring golfers earning individual medals. Scottsbluff was second with 316 points, followed by the Raiders' 336.
Joining Dvorak in team scoring were Connor Dormann (84), Brady Radcliffe (86) and Ryan Birner (85). Cole Westfall rounded out the Sidney competitors and shot a 97.
