The Leyton Public Schools Board of Education approved the implementation of a beef program for its district during its April regular meeting Monday evening. The program will provide students beef products during school lunches throughout the academic year.
Leyton Superintendent Greg Brenner told the school board he had planned to initially start the program in the summer, but a beef donation will be made available to the school district in May.
