Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol took seven impaired drivers off the road during special enforcement efforts conducted in conjunction with the St. Patrick’s Day holiday.
The special enforcements, which included high visibility patrols and DUI selectives, March 17-19, were conducted thanks in part to overtime funding provided by a $9,600 grant from the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety (NOHS).
“We want to thank everyone who helped to keep road ways safe through voluntary compliance and utilizing a designated driver,” said Field Services Major Mike Gaudreault. “By continuing to raise awareness we can work together to reduce serious injury and fatality crashes.”
