The community choir, with members coming from the communities of Oshkosh, Lewellen and Chappell in Nebraska, and Julesburg and Sedgwick in Colorado, are practicing for their upcoming performances of their Easter Cantata.
The community choir is preparing for its upcoming performances of "Victory Celebration," created and arranged by Tom Fettke and orchestrated by Dave Williamson.
On Palm Sunday, March 20, the choir will be perform at the Oshkosh Nursing Home at 2 p.m., the Oshkosh Wesleyan Church at 4 p.m. and the Berea Lutheran Church at 7 p.m.
On Good Friday, March 25, the choir will perform at Miller Memorial Care Center at 1:30 p.m. and at the Community Good Friday Service at the Chappell United Methodist Church at 3 p.m.
The choir is directed by Lana Balka, the accompanist is Jeanne Boehm and the narrator is Brenda Tophoj. Special numbers feature a children's trio, with soloist Keith Everitt, soloist Charlene Sauder, and a duet by Roberta Clark and Marilynda Longoria.
The choir concerts are free and open to the public.
