Each year the Cheyenne County Lawyers’ Association awards scholarships to two deserving Cheyenne County area students in the amount of $500 per scholarship.
Applicants interested in applying for this scholarship should present resumes and a 100 word (maximum) summary of their post-high school plans to the association and answer (250 word maximum) one of the following questions: “What is something that you have done in the past year that has made a difference?” or “Why should you be awarded this scholarship?” no later than April 15.
All interested applicants will be interviewed during the selection process and must mail the application information to Donald J.B. Miller, president, Cheyenne County Lawyers’ Association, P.O. Box 15, Sidney, NE 69162.
Students are selected from the three area high schools, Sidney, Potter-Dix and Leyton. Recipients shall be notified of the award by May 2. All recipients must be enrolled in an accredited university or college by Aug. 31 in order to receive the scholarship funds.
