The following people appeared in Cheyenne County Court on Tuesday, March 8:
Joshua C. Woolery, 26, of Sidney, pleaded no contest today to two counts of first degree sexual assault of a child, which are class IB felonies. A class IB felony carries a maximum possible sentence of life imprisonment. The mandatory minimum sentence is 15 years (without the possibility of parole). A presentence investigation was ordered. Sentencing is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on April 12.
Dylan Hull, 18, of Sidney, was sentenced to 36 months probation for attempted burglary, which is a Class IV felony. He was also ordered to pay $1,154 restitution.
Samantha Burton, 31, of Potter, was arraigned on charges of distribution of marijuana to a minor, which is a Class II felony, and child abuse, which is a Class IIIA felony. A status hearing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on April 12.
Anita Kuntz, 47, of Lodgepole, appeared for a status hearing. She is charged with DUI-fourth offense, high test, which is a Class IIA felony. A hearing on the defendant’s motion to suppress is scheduled for 9 a.m. on March 15.
The following people appeared in Cheyenne County District Court on Tuesday, March 8, before the Honorable Derek C. Weimer:
Caleb Moore, 28, of Scottsbluff, admitted to violating probation and was sentenced to 23 days as a custodial sanction. He was originally placed on probation for burglary in 2011.
Daniel Gonzalez, 40, of Sidney, was arraigned on two counts of distribution of methamphetamine, which is a Class II felony. A status hearing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on May 4.
Tyson Bockhahn, 24, of Sidney, appeared for a status hearing on a charge of possession of methamphetamine, which is a Class IV felony. He pleaded not guilty. A status hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on April 6.
Timothy Spires, 45, of Potter, appeared for status hearing on plea in abatement on a charge of second degree assault, DUI-serious bodily injury and child abuse, which are Class IIA, IIIA and IIIA felonies, respectively. Parties will brief the issue and court will take it under advisement and schedule a new hearing.
The following people appeared in Cheyenne County District Court on Tuesday, March 8, before the Honorable Randin Roland:
Frank Chorak, 36, of Denver, appeared for presentment on a charge of possession of methamphetamine, which is a Class IV felony. A preliminary hearing is set for 10 a.m. on March 15.
Christina Tucker, 19, of Lodgepole, appeared for preliminary hearing on a charge of distribution of marijuana and attempted distribution of marijuana, which are Class III and IV felonies, respectively. The cases were bound over to district court.
The following people appeared in Cheyenne County District Court on Tuesday, March 8, before the Honorable Derek Weimer:
Christina Tucker, 19 of Lodgepole, appeared for arraignment on a charge of distribution of marijuana and attempted distribution of marijuana, which are Class III and IV felonies, respectively. She pleaded not guilty and requested an attorney. Both cases are set for a status hearing at 9:30 a.m. on April 6.
