Alvin Robert Lukesh, 84 of Sidney and former Kimball resident, passed away at his home Sunday, Feb. 14, 2016.
Alvin's wishes were for cremation to be held and no formal funeral services. Private family services will take place at a later date. Alvin Robert Lukesh, the son of Albert Fred and Agnes Grace (Bilka) Lukesh, was born on April 24, 1931 at Kimball. On Nov. 14, 1953, he was united in marriage to Royalee Burr at Cheyenne, Wyo. They were married for sixty-two years.
Alvin had a plumbing business while living in Kimball before moving to Sidney to take over the Culligan Water Business.
Survivors include his wife: Royalee; sons: Daniel, Matthew and Jeff and wife Jill (Leiss) Lukesh; daughter: Susan Roth and husband Don; grandchildren: Nathan Roth, Zachary and Dawn (Kurz) Roth, LeAnn (Roth) Kampfe and husband Paul, Taleah, Taylor and Tessa Lukesh; great-grandchildren: Kylee and Kaden Kampfe, Nicolas, Colum and Effy Roth; sisters: Betty Eisenhauer and Esther Skrdlant and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Alvin was preceded in death by his parents: Albert and Agnes Lukesh, brothers-in-law: Donald Janicek and Walter Skrdlant, in-laws: LeRoy and Josephine Burr and niece: Connie (Skrdlant) Pafford.
