Cabela's receives 6 awards at 2016 SHOT Show

Cabela’s performance throughout 2015 earned the company six awards at the annual Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade Show, the outdoor industry’s largest tradeshow.

The tradeshow was hosted by the National Shooting Sports Foundation in Las Vegas last month. Awards presented to Cabela’s include: 2015 SHOT Business Chain Retailer of the Year, 2015 Remington Ammunition Retail Chain of the Year, 2015 NSSF “Don’t Lie for the Other Guy” Retailer of the Year, 2015 Columbia River Knife and Tool Retailer of the Year, 2015 Crimson Trace Retailer of the Year and 2015 Daniel Defense Retailer of the Year.

“We were honored to be presented these awards and receive recognition by these great organizations and partners,” said Scott Williams, Cabela’s EVP and chief commercial officer. “This has given us great motivation to kick-start the year, and we aim to build on that success throughout 2016.”

The 2015 SHOT Business Chain Retailer of the Year award was presented to Cabela’s by SHOT Business magazine to celebrate the company’s ongoing commitment to the shooting-sports industry and longstanding support for hunting, recreational shooting and conservation efforts.

Cabela’s received the 2015 Remington Ammunition Retail Chain of the Year award from Remington Outdoor Company for its strength as a retail partner and its 2015 sales performance.

The 2015 NSSF “Don’t Lie for the Other Guy” Retailer of the Year award is presented to one retailer each year for its support of the national campaign to raise awareness about the illegal straw purchases of firearms. For the second year in a row, Cabela’s was presented this award for its partnership with the NSSF and support for the campaign through several industry-leading initiatives.
