The dates, times, and locations have been set for classroom sessions for irrigation and nitrogen certification training. Training will be held Feb. 18 at Lodgepole Valley Youth Camp in Sidney. Sessions are at 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Training will also be held Feb. 19 at the Lion’s Den in Chappell. Sessions are at 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Certification training must be completed by March 1. The Cheyenne County 4-H market beef weigh-in HAS BEEN POSTPONED to Saturday, Feb. 13.

Monday, Feb. 8

Cheyenne County Art Guild Meeting meets the second Monday of each month at Light Memorial Presbyterian Church, 1345 Linden (enter through west door). For more information, contact Jane Easterly, (308) 254-4052.

Tuesday, Feb. 9

Christ Episcopal Church in Sidney is holding their annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Feed, Tuesday, Feb. 9, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. All you can eat.

The Shrove Tuesday Pancake Feed will be held at the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Lodgepole, located at 1011 McCall St., from 5 to 7 p.m. Free-will donation. Proceeds go to Deputy Sheriff Mike Hutchinson and family. Contact Dale Dickinson (308) 254-3095 for more information.

Cancer survivor support group meets every SECOND Thursday, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Dorwart Cancer Care Center. Great topics/food/fellowship. Call Leslie at (308) 250-1113 with questions.

Friday, Feb. 12

The Knights of Columbus will be holding a fish fry on Friday, Feb., 12, at the St. Pat’s Parish Center, located at 1039 14th Ave, in Sidney. It will run from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. It will be served with a baked potato, coleslaw, green beans, roll, coffee, tea and orange juice. All are welcome and all proceeds will go to local charity projects.

Saturday, Feb. 13

The Cheyenne County 4-H market beef weigh-in will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. at the county fairgrounds.

Sunday, Feb. 14

The annual “Be-My-Valentine” dinner will be held on Sunday, Feb. 14, at the First United Methodist Church in Sidney, in the fellowship hall. There will be two seating times - 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. The dinners are open to the public. Thursday, Feb. 25

Training for county fair judges in the Panhandle for static exhibits will held from 6 to 8 p.m. Call the Extension office at 254-4455 to register.
