Buff Ellis, 62 of Sidney, passed away at the Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Feb. 5, with Wake Services at 6:00 P.M., Thursday evening. Both services will be in the St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Father Jim Heithoff officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Thursday from 1 to 4 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made in Buff's name to the Donor's choice.

Steven K. "Buff" Ellis, the son of Sam George and Hildegarde Marie (Meyer) Ellis, was born on Oct. 24, 1953, at Clear Lake, S.D. He graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1973. Buff worked on the family farm before moving to Loveland, Colo. in 1976 working in the Landscaping business before moving to Sidney in 1978 and worked for Filsinger Excavating and Construction and continued his heavy equipment operation with Nienhueser Construction beginning in 1996.
Buff was an outdoorsman, enjoying bow hunting, fishing and golf. He was an avid NASCAR Fan and enjoyed horseback riding and elk hunting.
Survivors include his wife: Sandy of Sidney; his children: Kasey Van Liere and husband Jason of Watertown, S.D., Krissa Gerberding and husband Joel of Castlewood, S.D., Korey Wells and husband Donny of Sidney, Shawn Raddatz and wife Dema of Middleburg, Fla. and Trent Raddatz of Arlington, TX; his mother: Hilde of Sylmar, Calif .; (3) brothers: Scott and wife Michelle of Arvada, Colo., Sam of Estes Park, Colo. and Shane and wife Kris of Windsor, Colo .; (1) sister: Susan Peterson and husband Dan of Sioux Falls, S.D .; (11) grandchildren: Kane, Jacey, Dylan, Ally, Aric, Dalayne, Shawn, Meagan, Terrin, McKenzie and Kalee and (3) great-granddaughters.
Buff was preceded in death by father: Sam, grandchild: Mason, and (2) brothers: Stan and Shaun.
