The Peetz boys basketball team picked up a 75-74 win on Saturday at Weldon Valley.
The Bulldogs jumped out to a 20-17 first quarter lead, and the game was knotted a 36-all at halftime. With the game tied heading into the fourth quarter, Peetz outscored Weldon Valley by a point for the 75-74 win.
Statistics were not available at press time.
Peetz improved to 7-5 with the win, while Weldon Valley fell to 8-5 with the loss.
Girls basketball
Weldon Valley 40, Peetz 34
The Peetz girls basketball team dropped a narrow game at Weldon Valley on Saturday, falling 40-34.
The Lady Bulldogs led 11-8 after the first quarter, and the game was knotted at 19-all at halftime. Peetz took a 27-22 lead heading into the final quarter, before Weldon Valley came back to outscore the visiting team 18-6 in the fourth quarter to win.
Jodie Schumacher led the Lady Bulldogs offensively with 14 points, while Mikenna Curlee added 9 points. Curlee also led the team with 12 rebounds.
Peetz is back in action Friday at Prairie.
