Potter-Dix got off to a slow start Friday night, but kicked things into high gear in the second quarter and went on to roll past cross-county rival Leyton, 47-32.
The Lady Warriors (6-4) opened with a 5-0 lead as the Lady Coyotes (9-1) struggled, before Payge Hoffman's layup with 5:53 left in the first quarter ended the scoring drought.
Leyton kept Potter-Dix at bay for most of the first quarter, getting a pair of Diedra Waite foul shots and an Abbe Draper jumper for a 10-6 lead with 2:49 left in the quarter. The Lady Warriors held an 11-8 advantage after the first quarter.
